This alluring home sits on a stretch of the pacific coastline in Malibu, California. Richard Shapiro stumbled upon an old run down surf shack with no roof. Many people would never consider this mess but Shapiro had a vision and he knew that that was the property he wanted. He wanted his home to have the essence of a windswept structure from the Mediterranean or the Aegean, old and aged. I love this quote he said about how he envisioned his home....
“I wanted this house to be imbued with mystery,”
Shapiro says. “A portal to somewhere else.”
His vision truly came to life. He created a breath taking, aged, old world, utopia, wind swept, dream home.
