A Connecticut couple asked Gil Schafer to design a large, open pavilion as an escape for themselves and their guests. Their main house is a restored 18th century home with 7ft. high ceilings which created a problem for the couple. They grew claustrophobic and wanted an airy space to retreat to. This pool house is one I would dream of. The wood floors are wide and aged and the color scheme is calm and creamy. This space is magical and rustic, a dreamy retreat filled with streaming light, aged woods, and a relaxing feel.
Absolutely beautiful.
